THE RISHON FOUNDATION
The Rishon Foundation is an American private non-profit foundation organization founded and funded
by Rabbi Shais and Rebbetzin Tifarah Rishon
to promote the advancement, celebration, development, and sustainability of the Jewish community collective.
Anchored in Washington, D.C. by way of Brooklyn, NY where Rabbi Shais Rishon received his rabbinic ordination and cemented his philanthropic works as writer, Torah commentator, speaker, lecturer, author, advocator, husband, and father. Prolifically known internationally as “The People’s Rabbi,” his social activism sustainably bridges the gap
between the intersectionalities of Judaism, race, and socio-economic conflict.
Rabbi Shais oversees the congregation at Ohel Eidot Chemdata.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Foundation’s mission is to pour immense light on the darkest social, political, economic, and education challenges which cast shadows on racism, poverty, inequality, and anti-semitism by refining education, championing cogent political movements, uplifting cultural distinction, and instituting systemic accountability and advanceement through the illumination of Torah.

To amplify and advocate all voices, presence, and spirituality of the Jewish people to create an equitable American footprint which will eradicate hate and ignorance.
